Florida Women's Reception Center Release Records

To find someone released from Florida Women's Reception Center, begin with Florida's statewide corrections records rather than the Marion County jail roster. The facility receives women entering state custody for reception and classification, so departure often means transfer to another state institution. It does not by itself establish release to the community. A true prison release can lead to community supervision, full discharge, or another documented status. The DC number, current facility, sentence history, release information, and supervision history must be read together. When the public result is incomplete, the Florida Department of Corrections is the proper records custodian.

Florida Women's Center Departures

Florida Women's Reception Center is an FDC reception, classification, and prison facility. Women sentenced from counties throughout Florida may enter the state system there. A departure can therefore represent assignment to a permanent institution, a move within FDC, release from prison to supervision, or full discharge. The destination in the FDC record determines which event occurred.

A move to Lowell Correctional Institution, a Lowell component, or any other FDC location is a transfer. Legal custody continues. A historical release date supports a past release event, while an active community-supervision segment means the person is outside prison but still subject to FDC supervision. Full discharge ends the applicable prison or supervision status shown in the record.

Important: Leaving Florida Women's Reception Center is not enough to prove release. Confirm the next FDC location or a recorded release event.

Marion Jail to Women's Reception

A common search error begins one step earlier. When Marion County Jail records a state commitment, the woman may leave the county roster and arrive at Florida Women's Reception Center for classification. That is release from MCSO custody to FDC custody, not release to the community. The local booking record closes one agency's event while the FDC record opens or continues the state sentence.

Match the MCSO booking and release destination with the FDC DC number and initial receipt information. The Marion County court judgment may explain the state sentence, but FDC maintains the later prison movement and release history. The Clerk and county jail cannot certify a later FDC discharge merely because a Marion County case led to the sentence.

The broader Marion County released-inmate record path helps trace the local booking to the receiving authority. Once the record names FDC, continue in the state system.

Note: A county release timestamp and an FDC receipt date document two sides of a transfer and should not be treated as competing facts.

Search Women's Reception Center Releases

Use the FDC Inmate Release Information Search for a person already released or scheduled for release. Search by the six-character DC number when known. Otherwise use first and last name, consider the alias option, and compare date of birth, physical details, photograph, offense history, and incarceration history before accepting a match.

  1. Start with the DC number from the FDC or transfer record whenever possible.
  2. Open the matching offender detail and confirm identity across several fields.
  3. Read the current status or facility before interpreting a Florida Women's Reception Center departure.
  4. Review prison sentence history, prior prison history, and release information together.
  5. Run the supervised-population search to determine whether an active community segment follows prison release.
  6. Contact FDC Admission and Release when an immediate, certified, or missing answer is needed.

FDC says release information updates nightly. Supervision records have their own update cycle, and termination or location changes can move quickly. Record when the search was run. A name-only match or stale screen is not enough for an exact release conclusion.

Women's Reception Release Record Fields

The FDC result family separates several record groups. That structure is useful at a reception center because the current facility field answers a different question from the release-history fields. The DC number links the woman's record through classification, transfer, prison release, and state supervision.

FDC fieldHow it helps
Name and DC numberIdentify the person and provide the stable state corrections number.
Initial receipt dateShows entry into the state corrections record.
Current facility or statusDistinguishes continued FDC confinement from a past assignment.
Sentence and case informationConnects the state term to offense, county, and court history.
Tentative Release DateShows a projection for a person still in FDC custody.
Release date or historyDocuments a past or scheduled state release event in the available record.
Supervision type and datesShows whether state community supervision follows prison release.

Photographs and physical descriptors can help distinguish similar names, but the DC number remains the best record thread. A different current prison location proves continued state custody. A past release date should be read with supervision history before the person is described as fully discharged.

Women's Reception Tentative Release Dates

FDC's exact forward-looking term is “Tentative Release Date.” Under Florida Statute §944.275, FDC establishes the maximum sentence expiration date after lawful credits and projects release using gain-time granted, restored, or forfeited. A tentative date concerns someone still in custody. It is not a past release record or a promised gate appointment.

New sentences, corrected jail credit, consecutive or concurrent sentence structure, statutory minimum terms, disciplinary forfeiture, and eligibility rules can move the projection. For applicable modern offenses, gain-time cannot cause release before at least 85 percent of the imposed sentence has been served. The public result should not be used for a personal arithmetic shortcut.

When exact computation is needed, request the sentence computation and gain-time ledger from FDC. The county good-time statute does not govern an FDC prison sentence. The state and county systems use different laws and different custodians.

Note: A future tentative date confirms a projection within continued FDC custody, while a past release entry records a different type of event.

Women's Reception Center Records Requests

If the public detail omits a needed movement or release document, use the FDC public-records channel. A focused request should supply the woman's name, DC number, date of birth, relevant sentence or case, and the document type. Useful requests can seek a release certificate, movement history, sentence computation, gain-time ledger, supervision history, or another public record tied to the state sentence.

Admission and Release is the direct contact for a release question. Central Classification is relevant when a reception or assignment movement needs explanation. Ask for certification when a certified answer is required. Do not ask MCSO Records to produce an FDC movement history it does not hold.

After Women's Reception Center Release

Release from prison may be followed by probation, conditional release, parole, community control, or another FDC-supervised segment. The FDC Supervised Population search should be run separately from the release search. Compare supervision type, status, dates, circuit or office, and case information. “Active” supports current supervision; a completed or terminated segment is historical.

Florida Commission on Offender Review is the decision authority for parole and specified post-prison release programs, while FDC Community Corrections carries out supervision. A prison release is therefore not the same event as discharge from supervision. Confirm the assigned office from the current record because supervision can transfer between counties.

A clear conclusion names both states when needed: released from prison on the recorded date and active on the listed form of community supervision. That wording preserves the difference between physical confinement and a continuing legal supervision term.

Immigration Handoffs and FDC Release

Marion County Sheriff's Office has a 2025 ICE 287(g) Task Force Model agreement. That fact applies to MCSO cooperation and does not make Florida Women's Reception Center an ICE detention center. It also does not prove that a particular FDC release involved immigration custody. A handoff must be grounded in the person's actual release or detainer record.

If an FDC record or release document identifies an immigration detainer or receiving authority, describe the event as release from FDC to that authority until later records establish community release. Do not infer an ICE transfer from nationality, name, or absence from an FDC facility. The named destination controls.

Florida Women's Reception Center Contact

Florida Women's Reception Center is located at 3700 NW 111th Place, Ocala, Florida. FDC describes it as the female reception and intake center for women sentenced from Florida counties. The research did not establish separate public release-office hours or a facility-specific release telephone number, so none should be assumed.
